| She gives hers away. |
| For the sweet |
| rushing of the world |
| at a breakneck pace. |
| Senseless euphoria |
| supersedes |
| everything. |
| She doesn't get to keep it. |
| She cannot preserve it. |
| It is the gift of the needle: |
| False hope and happiness |
| into her veins |
| and stealing (her looks). |
